Top 11 Worst Movie Sequels

All good picks. Based on his criteria, I'd sugget either Matrix sequel -- AWFUL films.

I'd also recommend "Phenomenon 2". Why? Here's the utterly baffling thing -- it's not only a film that wasn't needed, it wasn't even a freaking sequel! That's right -- even though it has 2 in the title, it's actually an inferior remake of the first film.
And where the first film left it interpreted for the viewer on what happend to Travolta's characrter, the sequel gives the character powers and has him evading the government. What an utter steaming pile of you know what.

And he must have forgotten about "The Secret of NYHM 2", but to be fair, I'd want to forget about that film as well if I reviewed it.


Other bad sequels, that don't necessarily reflect his criteria, include:

"Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" (AKA: the one with the whales)
"Star Trek: Nemesis"
"Austin Powers 2"
Either "Men in Black" sequel.
"Ghostbusters II" (the secret of the pink ooze)
Either "Robocop" sequel.
"Jurassic Park III" (well, JP2 was bad as well, but it's not this bad, and it has its moments)
ANY of the "A Christmas Story" sequel films. This may be the only film I know of that can claim to have TWO second sequels. I think it was: 1, 2, 3, and then 2 again.
Every Alien sequel since "Alien: Resurrection".
And let us not forget "Jingle All the Way 2", which I look forward to the NC torturing himself with.

Really dumb choice for #1. Troll 2 had no expectations to live up to, and it's a movie generally liked because of how bad it is. It's nothing like other movies on the list that are hated because they are terrible sequels to good movies. Doesn't fit in at all.
