Honestly Laugh-out-loud Funny
Johnny English (2003) was, for the most part, a failure. Moderately funny, but too heavy on the slapstick and silliness, it gave the occasional giggle but often fell flat.
But now, with "Reborn," Atkinson steps-up Johnny English from Mr. Bean level humor to Blackadder level humor, and brother did that decision pay off. All too often the movie industry makes horrible choices, ones that leave viewers stymied and scratching their bored, unsatisfied heads. Reborn is an example of that same industry, for once, not only getting it right, but successfully managing to "fix" something that wasn't quite working. That deserves a tip of the hat, at least in my book. And yes, I actually was laughing-out-loud throughout this movie.
Oh, be sure and sit through the end credits, too. ;)
