Is it just me or is he super annoying? I'm on episode 7 and he's super ungrateful. He just yells and bitches all the time. I get that he has it rough, but he's not really helping himself by being a *beep* to those who are trying to help him. I seriously hope he's guilty. Also because Rachel is annoying and super holy in her quest to help him.
shareI liked him and his badass behavior undoubtedly kept him alive and sane for all those years. If they had him a softie with Jessica and Rachel it wouldn't have rang true.
He simply couldn't let himself show he had hope because he'd have that much more sorrow if it had all gone south.

How is he a badass though? He's just ungrateful. I'm watching the episode where he b**ches at Jessica for not going along with Rachel to get the signature from the aunt because if it was the two of them instead of just Rachel, they might have convinced her to go to the execution? And how she (Jessica) doesn't care if he dies and bla bla bla. I loved that she told him that she has a firm to run and it's not her job as a lawyer to fix his family problems. But I bet she'll turn soft and go convince the aunt anyway.
There's really no reason for him to be a "badass" towards his own lawyers who are trying to help him, and they're even doing this for free and the only ones willing to help him in the first place. Don't bite the hand that feeds you!
