Samantha's black skirt was too short for 1962

Having some knowledge of women's fashions in the 1950s and 1960s, I noted the length of Samantha's black skirt at around three to four inches above the knee.

This wasn't ladies fashion (hem lengths) in 1962. Ladies skirt lengths were on or just slightly below the knee.

It wasn't until the mid to late 1960s that skirt lengths rose, but even respectable women (like Samantha) still wore their skirts on or just slightly above the knee.

No no, you are wrong! The black skirt ends with a white border. The skirt actually ends slightly above the knees. When Samantha sits down, the skirt clearly does not look as short as you have described.

The trench coat could be any era. And her hair was not a early sixties style either. She didn't look like she was from 1962. She looked present day.
