Very Suprised

I really enjoyed this movie. Got to a point where I was a little inpatient with the getting to the plot but once we got there this turned out to be wonderful and worth the wait. I vote it a 9 overall. I was curious also about the clerk, safe and more information on Tom. But great movie overall!!

Seems like a bunch of people are discovering this movie just in the last day or two.
I watched it thinking it would be the typical, predictable low budget time wasting horror-thriller.
But it surprised me. The first part intrigued me wondering what was going on and that peaked my interest that it wasn't that easy to pen down. Then I actually thought I had it figured after 30 minutes but it went somewhere entirely different. I like that.
I was also a little surprised when I discovered that Scott Eastwood is the son of Clint Eastwood (although only acknowledged by him in 1999)..but after a closer look... I do see a strong resemblance for a young Clint Eastwood.

I saw it on 1channel.ch and this movie is amazing. Not sure why the low scores, I can't see how anybody couldn't love this. So well written, original, and captivating.

I agree with all the previous posters. I've got much, much more than I expected from this movie. Watch it if you can and like the mystery/thriller genre.

I'd have to agree - very surprised. I was expecting a really terrible movie considering the mediocre rankings after just a couple of hundred votes. I'd put this around 5.5 on an IMDb scale as plot was kind of interesting, but there were a couple of slow moments and plot holes. Looking forward to watching the next movie coming from the director/writers.

I just finished the film, and I have to say I liked it a lot. A very solid 7.5/10 rating. I thoroughly enjoyed how I could never be quite certain exactly what direction this film was headed next, and that kept me on edge throughout (also aided immeasurably by the horror-ish atmosphere). Granted, I saw a few of the twists ahead of time, as some of the foreshadowing was not so subtle, but this was a well-acted, well-written, and well-shot thriller. Definitely the most pleasant surprise I've had watching a movie in a very long time. Gems like this are the reason why I like to keep a lookout for low-budget straight-to-video flicks.

I was quite impressed by the cast, too. Between this and The Innkeepers, Sara Paxton is proving herself to be a charismatic actress with a lot of range. Katherine Waterston is excellent, and even though Scott Eastwood's delivery is sometimes a little uneven, he nonetheless has a very strong and immensely likeable screen presence that should serve him well in future roles and as he continues to hone and develop his craft.

Agreed. Good movie. It definitely dragged on a bit. It could have been a 1 hour twilight zone or outer Limits.

I'd have to disagree with some posters here giving it a strong 7 or 8. The acting and somewhat predictable plot (albeit an interesting plot) simply does not warrant a score that high.

Still....I DID enjoy this film for the mini mysterious, who-done it to who, where and why, very much. While the acting wasn't superb it was good enough to score it a 6 of 10 when combined with the interesting plot.

I would consider watching this movie again. That is saying a lot, when it comes to today's movies!! I also hope to see more of the young Eastwood in the future. With some work he look's like he could give his Pa a run for his money.

My God !! It's full of stars....

I'd call that opinion premature.

YA THINK?

I would have thought the words "some work" and "could" plainly spelled out the premature nature of my opinionated Observation.
