I just finished the film, and I have to say I liked it a lot. A very solid 7.5/10 rating. I thoroughly enjoyed how I could never be quite certain exactly what direction this film was headed next, and that kept me on edge throughout (also aided immeasurably by the horror-ish atmosphere). Granted, I saw a few of the twists ahead of time, as some of the foreshadowing was not so subtle, but this was a well-acted, well-written, and well-shot thriller. Definitely the most pleasant surprise I've had watching a movie in a very long time. Gems like this are the reason why I like to keep a lookout for low-budget straight-to-video flicks.
I was quite impressed by the cast, too. Between this and The Innkeepers, Sara Paxton is proving herself to be a charismatic actress with a lot of range. Katherine Waterston is excellent, and even though Scott Eastwood's delivery is sometimes a little uneven, he nonetheless has a very strong and immensely likeable screen presence that should serve him well in future roles and as he continues to hone and develop his craft.
