He confirm it.

Meh, in theory ID3 could be ultimate cfi/fi intergalactic warfare. Emmerich and Devlin killed ID franchise with absence of Smith in IDR and Geostorm.

We must wait another 20 years XD

Ouch! ID:R was pretty much a franchise killer but a guilty pleasure as well. They could just do a graphic novel for the third story. Roland should've made a better movie if he wanted an ongoing franchise......man, he really fucked up.

The second one was absolutely terrible, the fact they ended it in a way that set up a sequel was ballsy cos anyone reading that script would know it was ass

Well only Harvester's Shkadov Thruster exploding in spectacular fashion in suicidal mission of ESD in stolen Harvesters Motherships can save the franchise.

Yeah, it wasn't too good but I still can have fun with it though for what it is: a mindless action flick.
