I've just seen the trailer for the new series.

And I'm going to hate myself for saying this but it doesn't look too bad. From what I've seen I think that if anyone is going to make it work it's going to be Matt LeBlanc and not Chris Evans. I know the trailer is designed to make it look good and it probably will end up being crap but I'll watch the first one and judge from there.

And now I'll go off and say a million hail Mary's and write to Clarkson, Hammond and May and ask for forgivness.

Really not to bad? Compared to the all time classic trio theyre sh*it the new one is like the fifth gear the old trio are REALLY funny guys the new one is *trying* to be funny

Actually thought the trailer was disappointing due to my ridiculous high expectations of the new series.

They probably sum up everyone's feeling with their final two words in the trailer but they misspelt them... Says "this may" probably should have been "dismay". Or "no James this May".

Looks like they threw a lot of money and ended up with a show as fake, forced and lame as the Australian unfunny version was.

What difference does it make what age we were in, if Top Gear worked before than it can work now. End of story.

I think it looks absolutely sh!t. I'll watch the first episode out of pure morbid curiousity, but I have no doubt that I'll be proved right. The Beeb think that because Top Gear was around decades before the last format, it can somehow survive and keep on going. Sadly, in this day and age, it doesn't work like that anymore.

That's probably correct. They think because it's had changes with presenters before they can do it again. maybe it will be successful but Clarkson made the show his own in recent years and the other 2 although also great presenters knew it was mainly Clarksons show though they worked great as a team.

Walking on water is like finding a non fake female profile on a dating site...a miracle!
