I thought this new top gear would distance itself from what it was but looking at the trailers and clips it looks like they are doing everything Clarkson and co. would and indeed have done already, ill give the first episode a go but i can't see it working!

the format is what makes it top gear as much as the content. those segments like SIARPC and the Stig are the most copyrightable components of it.
