Matt LeBlanc hosting by himself? What?!

It's like the people in charge of making these decisions have no clue whatsoever what made Top Gear a globally liked show. NO FRIGGING CLUE WHATSOEVER.

I like LeBlanc, quite a bit in Episodes but also here in Top Gear this past season. I think his understated approach, which some have called bland, was a direct response to Evans. I think he has the charm, humor, and insight to be a good presenter.

But he NEEDS co-presenters, you MUST have deep automobile knowledge present, and above all CHEMISTRY or this thing will never be anything close to the Clarkson-May-Hammond era.

Of course, maybe the BBC has given up on the idea of trying to re-open the Global Top Gear Money Faucet, and they are resigned that it is going to devolve into a lackluster car show with dismal ratings drops from week to week.

First, by himself? Stupid. Not the right format for this show. Even two was not working as well as three.

But just finishing the last episode and LeBlanc has really grown into it already. His Porsche track review was quite nice, with good shades of the old days (sandwich, refusing to drag the Stig...) and he did fine at it. He seems to be able to drive enough, and isn't faking it.

Evans still can't say Porsche right, is still a bad interviewer, etc. etc. So glad he's gone as if anything he got worse, but now get some other human beings on with Matt. Please.
