He's called the stig...

They changed some little thing about the show for no reason what so ever and it made it look like a cheap knock off of the original. One of the things I hate the most (not counting Evens of course) is how they segway to the Stig. Why do they need to point to the posted and shout with the audience like it's a children's birthday party. Why? What the hell was wrong with the original. It's not like Clarkson owned that whole bit. It was part of the show.

One of the probs with the Stig's intro is they don't take it deadly serious. They're messing around and laughing about it, making it a joke. The joke is the Stig is actually treated like an alien from Mars. The presenters arn't supposed to be in on it. When they say those ludicrous things about him, those outlandish rumors of his accomplished feats, they're supposed to believe it, cause the Stig is a God among men. But instead it's all laughs and cheers.

"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"

Totally agree with you. I do hope they fix it for next season. Sacking Evens won't cut it, they need to bring back the soul of the show. Even if that means making everything the same as it was when the pensioners where presenting.
