Is it just me, or is Jesse Eisenberg's character extremely unlikable. I was half hoping the bomb would go off. I think that was the main negativve for me. I don't know if it was the actor or the character he was portraying but every single other character was more charismatic in some way, but it seemed the storyline kept trying to force us to be rooting for him, whilst giving the audience nothing to like about him.
sharei was rooting for him. a lot of young people can relate to him. the economy is bad and a lot of young people end up working minimum wage jobs with *beep* bosses thinking they've ruined their whole life. not only that, but they didn't make him some goody two shoes mary sue. they made him kind of an *beep* at times, which i appreciate. real people are not always perfect and sometimes do things that are regretful. the characters i don't root for are the ones who the writer tries making perfect, and tries WAY too hard to make likable. Jesse's character was just a typical guy, who made mistakes and did things that the perfect character doesn't do, and to me, that's why he's so likable.
