It was so cool watching this movie and seeing where i grew up on the big screen!!!

Don't be mean-sprited. Not often does someone see a film that is set in places they lived/frequented in. Most films are in NYC/LA a few in Atlanta and New Orleans and SF. I like that they picked a different place that was a bit grittier and less "trendy" and more real. A person has a right to say, hey, it is cool that they did that without some Debbie Downer being all negative and condescending about it.

Um....The Spartans are from MSU which is based in Lansing.

I've been to Grand Rapids many times, I am from Kalamazoo, 50 miles from Grand Rapids. Glad to see the "Pure Michigan" brand at the end of the credits.

It was also filmed in Ludington, Michigan, in particular and all over the State. GR is not that far from Lansing and many root for the team. OJ.

Don't mention Evil Green Sparties (I lived in East Lansing for awhile, but I am a Wolverines fan - Ann Arbor)! So, if we go with Kalamazoo, then Go DEREK JETER!

I also live in GR and remember when they had streets closed off downtown by my job for the car chase scenes to "some movie"-now over a year or so later I am watching this movie and realize that this was one of the movies shot in GR that year! Awesome.
