it was also a nod to the 80's action movies. earlier in the film, the 2 main hero characters were discussing lethal weapon, and it's sequels, since one had rented them for a marathon viewing session. also, die hard was briefly shown and mentioned (thats some john mclain *beep*
the song was "The Heat is On" from the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack. it was kinda hillarious really.
Agreed. One the funnier moments in an other wise lame film.
I once found a robin's nest in Tim Burton's hair
Not only that, but it's a great tune too! Better than anything out today, that's for sure.
shareThat was one of the few things I liked in this whole movie.

How dare you cast aspersions on Glenn Frey and The Heat is On! I thought it was hilarious that they put that tune in there at that moment. Considering the tone and most of the homages (remember the whole Friday the 13th part 3 scene in the basement???? That's 1982. Do you have a problem with that too?????), it was really in line in this movie. Not everything has to be some crap from American Idol.
shareYeah I found "The Heat Is On" from the Eddie Murphy film took me right out of this film. They should have used somethingless obvious.
shareThat was about the ONLY part of this movie I liked. I turned the volume up for it. Then right back down when the song ended.
