That one kidnapper died? wtf. I mean yea they caused a lot of *beep* but I didn't want them to die. it was pretty abrupt, and then it doesn't even show the aftermath. that poor other kidnapper is back at the dropoff point not knowing what happened. they should have showed him crawling out of the car at the end before the credits started. Also they should have shown if the Major lived.
sharethis is based on a TRUE event and so the film maker wanted its to be as close to real life as possible so of course his not going to puss out on killing the kidnapper if it really happened like that

except they denied it was based on it to avoid lawsuits, and also in the real story, it wasn't the kidnapper that died. you really think in the real story the guy fought back and switched the bomb around and defeated his enemy during a car chase? anyway, my complaint has nothing to do with that. this is a movie, and I didn't like the ending.

I don't know about him, but at the end of every movie I watch I quickly FF>> through the credits to check for bloopers, gags reels, and end scenes.

Not sure what happened to the so-called assassin (it might have been shown but I can't be bothered to check).
But both the actual kidnappers survived and opened a tanning salon (where their trained associates would rub in special lotion). The dad survived too: it was a "family business". The dad was shown in a wheelchair, but that might have been temporary.
