For example, couldn't jessi einsberg's character have just called the police and tell them to come in a non police car so nick swardson and danny mcbribe's character couldn't tell it was the police? For example, when they were shoping at the store for bank robbery supplies, he could have called the police then. I could think of plenty of ways for him to get the police help without any detection. Funny story but lot of plot holes
The only plot hole I could think of was how can Nick change the code to detonate the bomb from the phone? Wouldn't he have to do that on the bomb itself?

He didn't change the code. The bomb goes off by dialing a phone number and hitting send. When the vest picks up the signal, it blows up. They programmed the phone number into speed dial. Nick memorized the phone number and then changed the number in the speed dial.

When Nick changes the code and tells Danny that he memorized it, it implies that Danny never knew the code. Because if he did, he'd just dial it out.
But later Danny jokingly (I think this was improv on his part) says the code is 696969. It's his favorite number and he doesn't forget that. Was he lying to the pizza guy for no reason? Why did Nick bother telling him he memorized the code if Danny already knew it?
It leads to more problems too: If the pizza guy remembered it then...
How did the pizza guy know or have time to reprogram the bomb during the chaos? Why would that even be a decision you would make? Why would you even take the money
No, see, the phone number and the code were too entirely different things. The code (696969) was used to disarm the bomb, stop the timer and release the vest - Dwayne, and presumably Travis, knew the code the whole time. The phone number, on the other hand, acted as a remote detonator to trigger the bomb at any given moment. Travis knew the number, Dwayne didn't. Knowing the code was no help to Dwayne because all it meant was that he could either disarm the bomb, or let the timer run down and detonate. The bomb was able to armed by entering the code just like disarming it - Nick didn't have to reprogram it, he just restarted the timer by punching in 696969.
(And why wouldn't you take the money? I mean, that's a lot of cash, if I'd managed to rob a bank and get away with it, I'd be wanting to keep my hard earned cash too.)
Alright, I realize that now. The problem was Danny not knowing the actual phone number to arm the bomb. I might have forgotten that part and thought they were trying to dial out the code instead of the cell number they mentioned.
I wouldn't keep the money just because it already open up a nasty can of worms and I'd be trying to limit my involvement to have a good story during the eventual police investigation. I'd be too worried about looking over my shoulder or just being plain ratted out when the cops when they're caught by the large number of people already involved. Provided that cops aren't idiots: the school has them on camera with the the exact same outfits, they buy the supplies which are odd enough for the clerk to notice, Aziz's dad friend will of course give them they're description, bank cameras, acting erratic enough to stand out as odd behavior to be memorable for his former boss, the stripper who's going to talk when they find the thug's dead body, and Danny's dad.
Ok, You are all wrong. In the case of the bomb blowing up in the back of the van, it was clearly stated in the movie that the bomb would go off 10hrs after it was armed. When Nick was given the code 696969, he disarmed the bomb. Later he says he rearmed it, and his gf asks how he remembered the code. He didn't have the phone number, he never did. He used 696969 to re-arm the bomb, which then proceeded to return to the countdown, exploding when it hit 0.

You cannot really call it a plot hole because it is possible he just did not think about that. When you are worried about a bomb detonating and killing you, you do not always think clearly or rationally. For example, I always said I would never fight back if I was robbed while working as a cashier. However, when I was robbed around Christmas once, I fought back and even smashed a cognac bottle over his head because I was not thinking rationally. It was only after the guy fled, I began thinking "what if he had a weapon or if he would have fought back" (the guy was on crack, which I obviously did not know at the time). So, once again, not a plot hole.
I agree with this - how about someone strap a bomb to you and see how clearly you think. But I did think that Chet should have gone to the cops, arranged for some bomb disposal guys to meet them at the bank in plainclothes and defused it, then carry on pretending like they had gone through with it to catch all the bad guys. Of course, that might not have been so funny. The other thing for me is - there is NO WAY they were getting away with that robbery. LOTS of people saw their faces and there were plenty of other ways to track them down and ID them. Nice work Sandra BTW.

the only thing i didn't like is jesse and aziz have 3 chances to pick real guns for themselves and don't take them; bank guard, cop right outside bank, and the spanish guy when they make the drop.
It's not a plot hole. Those are just things the characters didn't think of. It doesn't make the movie not make sense. That would be what a plot hole is. Here's a real plot hole, regarding Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2:
"One of Snape's memories show Lilly telling baby Harry to be safe, be strong. That had to have occurred before Voldemort killed Lilly. Snape was not in the house until after Lilly was killed and Voldemort was gone. Only Lilly and Harry should have had that memory, but not Snape."
It's a flaw in the logic of the movie, not you, as a viewer, figuring out easier ways for the movie to end sooner.
I was just reading the newspaper and read a bunch of stories of people who didn't do things they could have or should have done. I couldn't believe that life has so many plot holes. Someone should write it better.
