Did anybody have trouble caring for any if these characters?

I couldn't have cared less if he blew up. Nobody in this film is likable besides maybe Aziz's character. Everyone else is just over the top vulgar or douchebags. I liked the film the first time I saw it but on second viewing I hated all these characters. And what a weak script. Characters would say forced and extremely disgusting things to try to get us to laugh. This was a step back for everyone involved.

I didn't hear that much over the top disgusting stuff. Mostly just profanities.

I have to admit, I didn't like all the nasty bull**** so-called jokes the characters kept spouting off,either---it's like the scriptwriter/s just wanted to show off how many nasty things they could get away with saying, or to show off how cool they were because they were saying that same stupid BS. The second half of the flick, when the robbery jumped off, was much better. In fact, the film was much more funnier without the BS comments in that 2nd half.

When I saw the Family Dollar, that made me wonder if the film had been made here in the Midwest, since I've NEVER seen a Family Dollar store in a movie before. Sure enough, came here, looked it up and found that the film was,in fact, shot in Grand Rapids,MI! I thought that was sweet! I think I remember reading something about it being shot hear over a year ago! But, anyway, I did like that second half
of the film-now THAT was funny!

Why is the main character not likable? I never thought he was vulgar at all?
