Not that I put much stock in IMDb ratings, which are usually made by teens and 20s bois, who are primarily interested in superhero and/or action movies. Still. That's an extremely low score, even considering all this.
Such a shame. The project had a lot of promise. The book was great.
Its at 4.1 now, but the overall rating is poor. Women are giving it a higher score, but that average is only 6.0.

shareI find the score here often lags behind the main site. It’s at 4.2 on IMDb now. I imagine it will continue to rise for a little bit. But because the film appears to not actually be a good movie it’s rating is never going to be good.

That's my impression: not a good movie. I'm saying that based on seeing the trailer, and having read the book many times.
It's currently 4.1, not 3.1. Moviechat hasn't been updating the score on IMDB, probably because the rating is constantly chancing since the movie is new and just came out
4.1 is still bad tho! Lol
