YEA! Woman director yea!
Yea! Women writers, yea!!!
Yea! Many women cast yea!!
Yea! Diversity, yea!!!
Yea HOLLYWOOD equalizes the sexes yea!

Oh wait! The movie sucks with super low ratings. That's okay, there is EQUALITY!!! YEA!!

Sorry, folks. Nothing to see here. "Equality" is never realistic on any level, anywhere. That's real life, get over it.

Dreaming and wishing for it, doesn't make it really work in the real world. Sorry, it just doesn't. The sooner we get back to not fretting over it, the sooner many things can get better. Like, not putting out mediocre films that are SO BAD they probably should never have been green lighted. But: women director CHECK! women writer CHECK! women cast CHECK! diversity CHECK! Okay, THAT should make EVERYONE HAPPY! Everyone except the paying audience. LIFE: 1 Wishing: 0 Profits: negative, Ghostrider.

Congrats on the equality positive placating, Hollywood.

See this over and over. WHEN will we learn and face our reality of it????

Actually, I don't think there is enough diversity in this film. There is quite a noticeable lack of representation of Aborigines, Eskimos, Red-headed acrobats, and Luxembourgians. And for the love of Pete, would it kill someone to cast a Cro-Magnon or Homo Habilis?

I'm not BLAMING the cast crew.... just pointing out that that you can't simply MAKE something successful BECAUSE it is equalized. It has to be good. And this one isn't helping. You can't just SAY, "all movies should be made 50% by women". Might as well say, "ALL WARS should be started and involve 50% women." Good luck with that. Or "ALL employed auto mechanics should be 50% women". We're all just so flarking dumb about these things sometimes.

Saying/wishing/wanting and reality do not coincide. EVEN if we WISH it did. Or headlines try and tell you. Just simply isn't so.
