I can read the mind of the writers.

- Hey guys lets have a spider-like monster because we liked Shelob from LOTR!
- Let's make it scarier tho, give it the mouth of the Balrog from LOTR!
- And because we love LOTR let's throw in Frodo in there too!
- Let's make him cover in fear of the spider monster just like in LOTR. Man this is cool!
- Let's make the monster move and reassemble like a Transformer because hey we love Bay!
- Oh yeah and we loved I Am Legend so let's have a scene with a city overgrown with forest and grass!
- And we loved Avatar so let's throw in that huge ass tree for no reason at all!
- And we have Vin Diesel so let's have him ride a cool car!
- That guy embedded in the ship in Pirates of the Carribean was awesome, let's have that
too!
- What's cooler than Vin Diesel? Vin Diesel with a sword on fire! Yeaaa!
...

Whatever I didn't even bother to watch the last 5 mins of the finale. That's how bad it was! Have no clue what happened in the end and I don't care.

Elijah Wood CAN do other movies besides LOTR he did before.

If you lived for 800 years wouldn't you have a killer car too? Or keep roofing a horse.

And another thing, if you don't like these kinds of movies...don't watch them! It really IS that simple.

I miss people having common sense. SO much.
