Anyone else feel like the movie...

Started off great with the old medieval period setting. Vin diesel looking badass with the beard and flaming sword. Soon as it went to a modern time setting the film fell apart for me personally. just turned into another bland fantasy film. Anyone feel the same way?

I actually liked it well enough...I was glad it moved away from the period setting. Not like movies like this aren't a dime a dozen but this one was actually fun to sit through and Vin Diesel made it worthwhile.

I thought it did fine in the modern world.

Ohhh well must have just been me who thought that. Personally when it went to modern time it just turned into another I Frankenstein/priest/underworld level of movie.

Yeah, it seemed to be a paint by the numbers fantasy adventure movie that had all the ingredients except an engaging story . I very much wanted to like it because I happen to like the Vin Diesel persona. Well at least he is in good company. Remember Keanu Reeves in Constantine?

Absolutelly the same. It became N. Cage material.

Absolutely. Good set up, nice to see Vin Diesel not simply "der badass." But last 40 minutes, they lost their way, and the writing turn to crap.

I felt the same way. It fell apart as soon as they introduced Chloe, the "dreamwalker" chick.
