heard this flopped
What do you think went wrong ?
shareIt's good that it flopped, now maybe studios will learn to stop making similar corn water puke pile movies. "The Last Witch Hunter" seriously? The studio thought this was a good idea? It pretty much had flop written all over it and it didn't even deserve the 10 million it made opening weekend.
shareI think it might have something to do with viewer's perception.
We gripe about Hollywood rebooting great things and making garbage, but whenever someone has an original idea, the response is, "Looks like it'll flop" :It pretty much had flop written all over it" It's little sh!ts like you that are the cause of this mentality. Tell me, did you see the movie? Or are you just lashing out because the name sounds off to you and it has Vin Diesel as the lead?

I have no problem with Vin Diesel but his problem was he should have picked a better movie. Perhaps the Shaun The Sheep Movie would have been better suited for Mr. Diesel's talents.
shareThis from someone who gave the Leprechaun movies high ratings?
Shaddup.
Nobody wants to watch PG-13 rated horror movies
shareI hope they resurrect another riddick movie or even xxx
shareIt wasn't a horror movie. If anything, it was a superhero origin story movie. It felt very Marvel, very much like Blade.
But a movie can't do well any more these days unless it actually has the name Marvel, or is about a bunch of young adults saving the world in a post-apocalyptic distopian future.
Hollywood jews wanted this to bomb because kabbalah witchcraft is big among them
It's a surprise it was made in the first place, I guess they really want those Diesel shekels from the FnF franchise
Thank you; at least someone gets it.
shareNeeded more action scenes. Yeah, better dialogue, plot and character development would have been welcome... But I would have settled for more action scenes.
I woke my girlfriend up (because she'd fallen asleep) when Vin kicks that guy in the back and then the action scene was already over!
An incomprehensible trailer and a marketing campaign that just makes the film look like a total mess that will only appeal to people who wear too much leather, have run out of places on their body to have tattoos, hang out in really dark bars and don't bathe because they like the smell of their own sweat and who would probably just download it anyway. As a pitch it looks unfocussed and all over the place and as a film it looks like something you'd expect to see Nicolas Cage in.
But I suspect the real problem is probably the film itself.
"Security - release the badgers."
Sometimes a film turns out so poorly that you really don't have anything to market. Last Witch Hunter appears to be one of those.
I know there are film editiors who make a good living because they are able to make trailers that make bad films look good, but sometimes there is just nothing for them to work with.
And it just proves that Diesel, outside of the Fast and Furious movies,(and maybe his voicework in GOTG) is no longer a draw. The last Riddick movie barely broke even. Frankly,Diesel needs the F and F franchise a lot more then the F and F movies need him.
shareNot true. With the right material Vin can have hits. XXX, the Pacifier, although thr b latter was a stupid kids movie. Kojak, Billy Lynn, XXX3 will prove b that
shareYeah - I think Vin Diesel was great in first fast and furious as well as pitch black - the sequels? Not so much, but not due to his acting, but rather the poorly written scripts.
I think Vin Diesel has a pretty narrow acting range, but he does fit some roles like no other actor. What he really needs is a well written script.
1. They decided to make it
2. They decided to half-assedly make it.
