NEW FAVORITE FILM TBH

This is the most enjoyable movie I've seen all year (+probably last year too). Honestly I don't understand why it got so much hate, it's not Riddick, but it was thoroughly fun, cool (joyfully unnecessary) effects, some good lines, a surprisingly well-built world. In terms of objective quality, it was thoroughly middling, but this is not the only metric of great cinema. TLWH was a blast. It was genuine and fun and engaging.

Plenty of absolute crap gets rave reviews and this film was leagues better. As far as I'm concerned, TLWH was robbed.

Anyone hating on this movie tbh does not know how to have a good time. I don't know what to tell you if you went into this movie expecting a high-fantasy epic heart-wrenching masterpiece. Live a little, guys. Are your hearts so leaden that you couldn't cackle at Michael Caine's "you ugly b*tch of a morning" line? Is there so little light in your lives that you didn't boggle at all the ridiculous modern witch-society filler? Did you really not think that the fight with Belial was at least a little cool, especially the fractured-glass magic shield?

If you're hung up on Vin Diesal's acting style or the out-of-the-blue plot twist or the cliches, well. I hope you have a good time with all of that. For my part, I had a great time watching this and I look forward to buying the DVD (and I REALLY hope the sequel goes through).

Another vote here ! Great fun film... Not all films have to be true to life, deep and meaningful.. Some are there to take you into your imagination.

Here here my friend. What is up with people ripping into a film about a *beep* witch lol. Just how logical so you want it to be. it was great fun, some decent acting and action, and the cgi was well done.

Loved the look of the witch, and also how the bad guy would move about the place with roots etc pulling him through buildings. I really do think people who moan are a minority, most who enjoy a film don't post as they don't have anything to complain about. It also did make a profit, so hope we get a second.
