Interesting list. I see why some of these are polarizing.

I hated Synecdoche, New York. I can see why it's the type of film that some would find meaningful or thought-provoking, but I found it to be the most self-indulgent, masturbatory piece of cinema I had ever watched. I saw it with a friend who described it as "relatable"--years later I found out this (now former) friend was suffering from depression, and was also a raging narcissist.

Couldn't even watch any of the Hobbit movies all the way through. They were my first real glimpse into how Gen X Star Wars prequel haters must feel.

My generation seemed to have an obsession with Napolean Dynamite at one point, around the time I was a senior in high school. Personally I found it amusing but I didn't really get the love.

I loved Team America when it came out and I still love it. One of the funniest and most relevant movies I have ever seen. My best friend and I still quote it to each other regularly.
