Just me - or was the law enforcement team the worst ever? Allowing kidnappings, allowing bribery and blackmail, allowing for murder (almost) - and right under their noses.
I really didn't understand their purpose if they didn't really do anything in the movie except: *** SPOILER ***
Rescue them in the end???
Yes. They are.
How pathetic of a police force do you have to be to have two guys standing in front of you (rat-face guy and the Koopa with wings) flat out admit that their employer kidnapped seven people in order to blackmail a royalty figure into giving him something???
So...let's see--in ONE scene, the Aegis don't care that Balem and his agents have committed:
--Seven counts of kidnapping
--Extortion
--Threats of murder
Oh, and let's not forget that they apparently didn't care that Titus Abrasax was literally minutes away from committing regicide and he never gets so much as a slap on the wrist. And Balem is going to attempt the exact same thing. This is also the same force that allows these people to kill billions of people to harvest them into an immortality jelly.
Worst police force ever? Oh, yeah. It isn't even close.
So....was the Vaseline indicative of the general nature of mankind that loves a jelly coating no matter the origin of the jelly...???
