Am I the only one? What did the 'blurbs' at the end say?

I graduated from a well respected NY university. And compared to people I know who have similar educational background I consider myself well read. I have no trouble reading or comprehending (none that I know). I would like to know why they show the 'after thoughts' as though they expect the audience to have graduated from the Eveyn Wood School for speed reading. Would someone tell me what they said? Were all the files destroyed / shredded? Did they catch the sec. in the act?

(With Eastwood's movie 'Unforgiven' you have a chance to breathe as the end notes scroll up the screene)

The contents of JEH's "personal and confidential" files were never known. (Thanks, Helen.) Tolson inherited his estate, moved into his house, and accepted the flag that was draped over his coffin. When he died, he was buried a few yards away from JEH's plot.

lol I just watched the movie on DVD last night. The "blurbs" only lasted for like two seconds. I was hoping that was just something they did on the DVD to save time and not what they did in the theater. Geez, you say the did, that sucks! I had to go back and pause each one to read em. Basically I remember one of them saying that when J. Edgar died Tolson was the one that accepted the flag draped over his coffin and also that he was buried at a certain cemetery (somewhere in DC?) and Tolson was buried close to him. And another one said that a few miss-filed papers were found but the majority of the personal files he kept were never found.

I had no "pause" button, and you're right in saying that a few of JEH "personal and confidential" files weren't destroyed, but nothing worth knowing; not that we'll ever know anyway.

Agreed. The blurbs went by WAAAAY too fast. Basically, the files were destroyed except for a few misplaced ones that were found later, and Clyde got the flag on J Edgar's coffin and was buried near J Edgar.
