Similarities to 'The Iron Lady'

After watching this film, I noticed that J. Edgar Hoover has several similarities with Margaret Thatcher from "The Iron Lady", in which both saw in their early beginnings on how incompetent the governments they worked in are, and vow to improve it. While initially suffering ridicule and being repeatedly walled by others, they eventually get their chance and gradually rise up to becoming the practical head of government. Their methods have been viewed by many as controversial, but they remain determined that their way is the proper way of improving the country. Finally, both films offer a neutual conlusion: Reardless on whether their methods are good or bad, one thing is certain - they changed the face of their respective countries forever.
