Reminds me of 'The Imitation Game' (2014)
I didn't think 'J. Edgar' would be so good, perhaps due to its not-so-good reviews around the internet. But DiCaprio's acting (despite the make-up) is flawless, just like in all his other films. 'J. Edgar' kinda reminds me of the British film 'The Imitation Game' (2014) - another biopic portraying an important historical figure who contributed to the security of society in the long term and posthumous, and who, at the same time, was struggling with deep insecurities as homosexual in a conservative society. Both films are equally good in my opinion, and justly dismal.
