My Review
Overall, I liked this film. A solid 7 out of 10, almost an eight due to a mostly good turn by DiCaprio. His accent slipped a few times, but mostly on point. Not sure what kind of accent that is, but it was pretty good.
The costumes and sets were top notch stuff. I liked all the suits and I really liked some of those ties, never seen pins through ties before. Almost like cufflinks on a tie?
They kind of glossed over the JFK assassination, although that may be how it was since I've never really heard much about Hoover during all the coverage I've seen about it. Anyone know for sure?
Mostly though, the film I felt had an identity crisis. I would've liked to see more of Edgar's character. I feel like the Lindberg bit went on too long and there was a bit too much jumping around with flashbacks.
The makeup on DiCaprio was good, but I thought Watts and his friend looked pretty bad. I felt like Watts was underused, too. The film could be longer. It ends a bit abruptly.
"They knew, and they let it happen! TO KIDS! It could have happened to any of us!"
