Could have removed Chan
and had almost the exact same film. Very strange. His revenge plot line would not have changed much if removed. I really enjoyed the political tension thriller more than the Jackie Chan story line.

shareWhat a shit take. He's the main character of the fucking story.
shareYes, in this film, Quan Ngoc Minh is like Indiana Jones in Raiders of the lost Arc. Nothing they did really changed anything.
Jackie Chan's character made life difficult for a few people, but in the end, it was the actions of the bombers, the government and the SAS that really mattered.
In the book, Nguyen Ngoc Minh mattered even less. He simply died in the SAS raid that killed the IRA bombers and disappeared.
