Pros and Cons from Savages

Pros
. Military aspect. That was a smart move, It could have been even better if they have involved some members of Chon´s team to the story not only in the shooting scenes.
. The crude world of the cartels. First movie that I see in a while that show us how crude the Cartels are.
. Male characters where perfect. Especially Lado, Chon and Ben made a good team against the cartel and I also liked Dennis and El Azul.
. Good plot. I liked the story, it felt different not only a cartel against a cartel.
Cons
. Chon and Ben are too young to be so sucesfull. A 3rd and older character could have made their bussiness more realistic, 2 young and sucesfull men have a drug empire (yeah right)
. Ophelia. I hated here character, she was so silly, useless, she was a whore, etc.
. Madrina as the boss. I liked her character but I didn´t buy the idea that she was leading a cartel.
. Love Trio story. I think this was the worst part of the movie, it was not only silly but unrealistic, can 2 men care that much of a whore? I know it is based on a book but it would have been more realistic if :
- eitherthe 3 where brothers
- Chon and Ben are best friends, and Ophelia was sister of one of them and girfliends or lover of his brother best friend (like in Fast and Furious, atleast I bought that)
- In the worse of the scenarios, atleast made her girfliend of only one of them.
.The ending. there is no need to explain me, the first ending could have been better

No,Ben and Chon were best friends(since high school,it was said),and O started helping out at the pot store later,and they all fell in love. In the book,they knew each other since kindergarten,or something like that,I think.

So many of your points are flawed.
They could easily be that successfull at that age. Don't talk about stuff you don't know about. The cartel boss was called Elena not Madrina. And the fact that they have the relationship that they do makes sense if you think like they do. I can't see how no one would get jealous but it doesn't mean that everyone in the world thinks like that. One thing I've always done with watching films is to have an open mind about the plot.

Er, how was O useless? She was the whole point of the plot of the movie.....?

It is of your opinion that you make her a whore. She wasn't a whore. They were in a triad relationship, so no need for brother and sister relationship. They're out there and they happen.

All Madrina needed was loyal henchmen and she could have run the cartel and been feared-especially regarding the history of how she came to lead the cartel. not so unrealistic. There are madrina's out there.

I concur on the ending and would have preferred 'the first' ending. Why not just put editions out with "alternat endings" so people can enjoy the ending they want. the first one was PERFECT!

I hated the first ending.. Over sentimental with their group suicide!!! I thought the second ending was much more realistic.

As for the relationship, it was certainly unconventional but definitely not unheard of. Normally it's the other way round though with one man and two women.. Like she said, some people will consider her a slut but everyone was aware of the situation and made their own choices.

Blake Lively, and the relationship the three of them shared, was absolutely essential to the story. Heck...it WAS the story. I find it funny how everyone complains about O being in the story....and they complain about the relationship(s). The entire plot is CENTERED around these components.
