When I first happened upon this movie on tv, it was right at the very end, when Benicio Del Toro's watching a little league game through a fence. So I assumed it was Traffic, which ENDS EXACTLY THE SAME WAY!

Better movie overall, Savages or Traffic?

Actually in Savagee that scene comes in at the first half of the movie.

And without a doubt, most people would say Traffic is the better movie. I haven't seen it all but I would probably have to go with Traffic as well. Even though Savages is probably the more "fun" movie.
