Didn't Lincoln get bit by Adam while he was on top of the train? If so why didn't he turn into a vampire?

Yeah at first glance I might have said that he was already a vampire when he got shot at fords theater,and just faked his death.

But that couldn't be because he then killed Adam with the silver chain in his fist after getting bitten.If he were a vampire and tried to kill Adam after getting bit it wouldn't have worked.

Seems like a plot hole after all don't it?

Adam tried to bite Lincoln, but Henry put his arm in the way, so Adam bit Henry instead.

^^ This. You clearly see Adam's teeth are sunk in to Henry's wrist and not Abe's neck, this leads Adam to smack Henry down through the roof and then shove his face in to a box of 'silver'.
