Maybe I missed something, but when did they actually buy the house they live in?

In season 5, Ben Stiller plays the landlord, but in season 6 in the casino episode they bet the house -- apparently they have the deed and everything.

IMDb-boards would be less confusing if people would mark their signatures clearly.

Yeah that's weird but don't try to make sense out of it just have fun.

I just assumed it was part of Blake's bluff and the deed thing was a lie.
