Mel Gibson confirms he'll direct 'Lethal Weapon 5'

Too old for this shit.

Gibson I could buy as Riggs again, but Danny Glover is way too old.

He would be a great director for it but I thought 4 ended the series just fine.

I think it would be very interesting if Gibson would direct it in such a manner where the story is told in the way of his most serious movies rather than a repeat of 2, 3, and 4 and in a more similar way to that of the first one. To me, the appeal of the first was that in some ways it wasn't the typical cop-buddy movie and had more heft to it than the regular shoot 'em up flicks (though there was a large amount of that in the first one).

I hope he brings back Busey. Maybe even with Busey's son, those two would be good bad guys.
