Too old for this shit.

Who would watch it🤮?

reply

Me. I would watch anything Gibson is in. I don’t care if he’s a bit of a psycho; his acting, charisma and screen presence win me over every time.

A 5th sequel is nothing to get excited over at the best of times, but I’ll watch it for Gibbo. Who knows, he might pull a Rocky Balboa out of his hat and make something actually decent.

reply

I agree. I will watch this too for sure. I'd hope it'd be a little more serious than comedic, though.

reply

Stallone can write. He wrote himself a career with Rocky etc. Gibson can’t write.

But, enjoy it anyway.

reply

Gibson I could buy as Riggs again, but Danny Glover is way too old.

He would be a great director for it but I thought 4 ended the series just fine.

reply

i look forward to watching it

I think it would be very interesting if Gibson would direct it in such a manner where the story is told in the way of his most serious movies rather than a repeat of 2, 3, and 4 and in a more similar way to that of the first one. To me, the appeal of the first was that in some ways it wasn't the typical cop-buddy movie and had more heft to it than the regular shoot 'em up flicks (though there was a large amount of that in the first one).

might be cancelled

reply

Let's all anticipate the villains in this one being The Israeli Mafia

reply

I hope he brings back Busey. Maybe even with Busey's son, those two would be good bad guys.

reply

His character was killed.

reply

I remember but don't care about the continuity. Just have him get broken out of prison in the beginning.
