It's just a word, and part of the reason McGruder lobbied (he had to make an effort) to get AS to let him use it, aside from the fact that a lot of black people do in real life- is to illustrate the point that it's just a word.
Other than one episode where a white teacher got in trouble for saying it (which was based on a real life incident, and which he used to make fun of race hustlers more than anything else) he's even had white people say it in good and ill contexts to illustrate that it's about intent, and that it's hypocritical and counterproductive for white people, and to a lesser extent others, to be hiding from something so stupid.
I know it's a dirty game, but it's the only one The Man left us to play.share
