What's worse, this or Die Harder?

1, 3 and 4 are pretty good die hard films.

I find 2 and 5 to be lackluster at best (still enjoyable to an extent though).

So what's the single worst film in the series? 2 or 5?

5 by far is much worse ! i really liked 2 it has very good action scenes a good villian good and memrable supporting charectors 5 had none of that! die harder was better in every way i can think of. maybe a bit to much like one but not to much though.

I hate hate hate HATE Die Hard 2. ... That being said, Die Hard 5 is the worst in the series. The ONE compliment I'll give DH5, is it made DH2 look good by comparison.

Die Hard 2 is a masterpiece compared to Die Hard 5. The only thing I liked about Die Hard 5 was the cool car chase sequence at the beginning, but pretty much everything after that was dull as hell.

Die Hard 5 was probably my biggest disappointment of 2013.

Can't even compare Die Harder with DH5. The first 3 Die Hard movies felt like Die Hard movies, good script, good pacing, good acting, all shot similarly. The 4th and 5th one did not feel like Die Hard movies at all, they felt like typical modern forgettable quick cut formulaic action movies where they decided, hey, the plot kind of sucks and the movie is all over the place, lets try putting John McClane in them and making them a Die Hard movie and do a couple big CGI action scenes to make up for a forgettable movie. DH5 did have some pretty good action scenes, would have been much better without the awful soundtrack music and shaky cam, having a real MI-24 Hind was pretty impressive.

Errrrr, only Die Hard and Die Hard 2 were any good. They stopped being any good after that.

You should be comparing 4 and 5. Those two turds go together very well. DH 2 fits in well with 1 and 3.

Amen. I think the original poster is an idiot. He/she should just watch the movie for themselves. There a lot of movies my friends and or family even love that I hate and vice versa. I can talk movies with any of them but if they crap on one I never saw before I will always give the movie a chance anyway cuz my thinking is "ey, I just might like it nonetheless". I say watch it. To be honest I haven't seen it yet either but I'm still going to despite all the hate. There are always going to be people somewhere who will shoot you down for liking stuff they say is garbage. Don't be ashamed to like stuff others may not. In some cases, one person's trash can be another's masterpiece. Just sayin.
