Where on Earth is Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Lucy McClane in this movie?

She's in credits as Lucy McClane in it, but there is no way I can remember or find one single scene with her in it.

Only take where she could be in is at the start of the movie as McClane says "Thanks, kid!" to somebody who drives him in a Mercedes to the airport. Presumably her, but far from seing her face actually. The rest is Russia and Ukraine where she has no appearance at all.

There is also Megalyn Echikunwoke credited as a Pretty Reporter but I don't remember seeing her - she seems to have a really pretty face. But there is news scene only at the start and she's not there.

Opinions please ... :D

She is in 3 scenes. Fysically she is in 2 scenes.

The scene when John goes to the airport. They talk in the car. And there is a couple of faceshots of Mary.

She calls John on the celluar when he is in the car chase in Moscow.

The final scene of the movie is a get-together with John, Jack and Lucy.

My guess is you only saw the unrated version. In that version they cut her off completly. But she is in the regular version.

You're right.

I got extended cut.

She must be in theatrical cut.

Thank you very much! :D

No. Gorkee was right. She is in the superior Theatrical cut, but removed in the extended cut. Truly the worst Extended Cut I've ever seen. All the character moments removed and scenes of people just walking around to get the extended running time. Truly lame.

But in the theatrical cut he answers his phone while in a car chase, how stupid.
His phone never rings in the extended cut at least. What i do is watch the extended cut, but change versions real quick when his daughter drops him off, and the very end. Obviously the theatrical version has the finished ending.

Fysically? That is embarrassing.

I think Lucy needed to talk some sense into her brother. He seemed to be having the same issues she went through in the previous film.🐭

reply

Not to be a whatever but Mary is listed as "Lucy" in the end credits. Not Lucy McClane.

Imagine cutting MEW from the extended cut. Bastards!!!
