It has set in, and I am OK with Die Hard:Year One

So I was thinking that after the announcement of die hard 6 being a little bit sequel and a little bit prequel at first I didnt know how to feel but as I think now I think this is going to be a good spot to end die hard.

With the exception being the fifth movie all previous four movies in the diehard universe were created from some sort of source material weather review book or an online article all of them had some beginning outside of a screenplay.

For what it is I think this is the best of what we could have asked for we might get some returning characters in the present both of the beginning and end of the movie and we'll still see some old John McClane action even if its not indeed Bruce Willis making that action happened.

My only hope is to see some of these returning characters such as Zeus or Holly even though these may not be a possibility and I also what to see John McClane receive son some sort of achievement award or commendation.

Thoigh not exact parallels this is a lot like Rocky Balboa the movie that came out in 2006 sort of the passing of the torch into a younger for all intents and purposes Rocky. I think it'll be good to sort of bookend the legacy with this call it good with this movie I believe Bruce though he played many many years into the John McClane character I think he's moved past this character but it's good that he's connect come back.

It started with the building being threatened and then it was a whole airport and then it was a whole city and then it was the whole country and then pretty much it was the whole world there was nowhere to increase the tension so if you think about it the only way to go is backwards I'm excited to see what they will do here the source material only covers 1976 and 1977 so the character of John McClane is well established but it so it looks like this is going to be a whole new adventure that we can't really read the comic book to find out exactly what they're going to go for but I believe it's going to be smaller and scale lead to a lot of callbacks just like the fifth movie and I think it's going to end on a high note.

Finally it looks like I was right in the prediction where the announcement comes all at once right when everybody thought the project was dead in the water here we are at the end of 2015 I think they can squeeze it out a lot like bad boys three in 2017 but I think Bruce Willis would want to wait for 2018 possibly a February release just like the 5th the movie to commemorate the 30th anniversary and I believe he's going to either visit the White House but possibly Nakatomi Plaza to not make too many parallels to Olympus has fallen.

Also be warned if this movie is successful there might be a whole new die hard trilogy if not more focusing on whoever this new actress that plays Bruce Willis in the past.
