This one is WAY better than Die Hard 2. The second is by FAR the worst one out of the whole franchise. I think this is more on the 7 scale, and 2 is MAYBE a 5, and that's being generous..

I agree that this is far better, but a lot of the teens who do the ratings on IMDb haven't gotten over that idea that "Cussing is coooooool!"

This movie is terrible and is the worst one of the series. Die Hard 2 isn't that great either but it's better than this one.

5 sucks
Die Hard 2 is silly and derivative but thoroughly enjoyable in spite of it. The characterisation is on point, the story isn't riddled with logical errors and, although it feels like a lazy attempt to copy the first film, it doesn't feel like an utterly desperate attempt to emulate some of its magic without any real understanding of why people like Die Hard in the first place.
Die Hard 5 on the other hand is one of the worst films ever made.
