Was Gabrielle from the future? Did Gil meet her as she was visiting her Golden Age (Paris in 2011)? Maybe that's a little out there. But she just seems mysterious.

I was thinking the same thing. If she was from the future then she obviously decided to stay in her golden age. I like that idea.

Why did she like Cole Porter if the 2010s were her Golden Age? Shouldn't she be listening to Lil Wayne or something?

It's a nice idea but I doubt it

If it were true, the movie would have to make the case that she is nostalgic for 21st century Paris. Movie didn't really do that. She's the beauty of the present finally hitting Gil.
