Just watched it, I thought it was lovely
I was surprised at how much criticism this film got on this board. I didn't think it was pretentious at all. The point of the story was that he was able to interact with his most beloved authors and artists. I loved the magical element to it, the visuals and atmosphere was great, and the settings in Paris were beautiful and romantic (albeit very idealistic, but isn't that why we watch movies?).
Inez was a horrible person. I'm a huge fan of Rachel McAdams and I usually enjoy just watching her, even if the movie and/or character is not very good, but I got angered every time Inez opened her mouth!
Marion Cotillard was a delight, as always.
