Well, Mechajutaro...I'm not sure where you are the global authority on that. But you are entitled to your opinion.
"All that We are is due to what we've thought"- The Dhampadda; neither my own random concoction or caprice. St. Augstine, albeit in a much more unctuous and pedantic manner, scribbled out a similar musing in his City of God, for whatever consolation that's worth.
...don't be offended, but I'm not in the habit of accepting advice from strangers on how to act or feel
Not offended by the prolonged recalcitrance, not in the least. After all, we're simply sharing ideas, not ensconced in the tedium of the Syanon game and unless you've been webcamming as such I've no means by which to attest to your actions and, having continued this exchange without the benefit of vituperation, believe I've shown myself fairly accepting in regards to your feelings. Slightly taken a back at being deemed a "stranger", for we've been chatting a minute now, have we not?
I prefer to rely on my own ethics, value system, own intelligence, research, faith, etc, and not some anonymous poster for instructions on how to be.
Hardly anonymous; in fact, you referred to me by name in the first line of your previous post, quoted above. Delighted to read as much otherwise; conceivably then, at least some of that considerable intelligence can now examine your own sentences and paragraphs-past,present,future-for an empirical, evidentiary foundation.
