Five BIFA nominations for Frank

Frank is nominated for director, screenplay, supporting actress, supporting actor and technical achievement (for the music). It's disappointing not to see it make the best picture shortlist and Fassbender as best supporting actor feels a bit odd, even if he stands a better shot of winning in this category than he would up against Brendan Gleeson and Timothy Spall - but still a good showing.

I'd argue Fassbender's placement is right. The movie is called "Frank", but it all takes place from Domhnall Gleeson's perspective.

Two awards won - best music and best screenplay - at BIFA. Well done!
