What mental disorders did Frank have?

Although the movie was never explicit about Frank's mental disorders, the obvious one is the compulsive need to wear the fake head. Frank also appeared to suffer from mania/depression and anxiety attacks (before the concert).

I think there was some anxiety and manic depression. I also wondered if he was autistic. However, that disturbed me a little bit because his parents talking about how his mental illness was nothing but a hindrance reminded me a tiny bit of Autism Speaks and there quest to rid the world of autistic people. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Also I might add some mild Asperger syndrome. A very popular illness amongst geniuses
