was jon the bad guy?
was the ginger the villain of the movie? he ruined the band.
Kind of...but he brought them back together too.
Was the band really ruined, though? They reunited in the end and people (or at least the guy in the Chinese restaurant) loved the 'shtick' that they were going with and thought the botched SXSW show was all part of the gimmick.
There's nothing the least bit funny about stealing a meal from Neal McBeal the Navy SEAL.

More like he did not understand the band and tried to use his effort to make it cater to the public but finally he realized that he is totally wrong to begin with.
shareThe more I think about it, the less likable a character Jon becomes. He didn't really want to make music with these people specifically. He wanted to be famous, and any band would have sufficed. The tweeting throughout the movie, his inept songwriting and talk about youtube views makes me see Jon as a deluded, celebrity-hungry twit who in the end was just out of his depth with Frank and the others.
shareWell he did help them out with money and he called the other guy's keyboard song awesome. He also says he idolized Frank soon after meeting him. He was good for the band in some ways and bad in others.
shareI think he was the bad guy, though in the end he obviously realized the errors of his ways and attempted to make up for what he'd done. I don't think paying money for the band was out of any sense of unselfishness. He was pissed that they didn't use his songs, even though he'd given them money.
I'm disturbed at how many people thought he was good because he pushed Frank into multiple MENTAL BREAKDOWNS and a physical injury just because in the end it may have helped Frank in the long run. Please do not do this to people with mental illness or anyone who is struggling like that. And we don't know for sure if Frank's future is a happy one.
No. He was just in it to try and make it as any normal band would. And he helped them financially. He was just naive to the bands needs and conditions.
He also got them back together.
And in a way helped frank more than any other. He got him to stop wearing the head in a round about way.

i think in the beggining of the film we watch a total different character of jon and the trasmormer is little unrealistic. But anyway i think that was a great great film.
shareNo he's the hero. His job was to release frank from the dependence he had on his mask; which he did. He had to break up the band to do it but he released Frank & got the band back together. After that his job was done, so it was time for him to move on
shareWell, "hero" seems a big word to me. First, there are no heroes in this movie. Second, he didn't do what he did on purpose, his aim was to reach success with the band, not to release Frank from his dependence. He realized in the end that he was making a mistake and brought Frank back where he belonged.
shareYup, he was the bad guy trying to turn them into something they were not.
... Viva Clark Gable, el eterno y único Rey de Hollywoodshare
He didn't do it on purpose. He just couldn't see the band's needs and was focused on what he assumed the band would need. But, as with any story, he learns.
