A 5 year old has 'crushes'? Maybe I missed something?

I saw this movie for the first time today on TV and I hadn't really caught onto something until just now.

So, Jim goes back home and this hot-ass chick comes out and I think she tells him that "tomorrow is my 18th birthday party." We find out that Jim use to babysit this girl.

This movie supposedly takes place 13 years after they graduate high school and yet this girl says she "always had a crush on him."

So, let's say for argumentative sake that Jim ACTUALLY baby-sat her while he was a SENIOR in college(highly unlikely), it means that she was 5 years or YOUNGER at the time of the babysitting. Or maybe he babysat her while he was home for the summer during college? Again, highly unlikely.

I just don't buy that at all. They should have made her older or something.

I always hate when horrible movies make you think about how horrible they are. Damn you!

She may have just said that as she was flirting with him.

Also i think teenagers babysitting for a neighbor is fairly common.

5 year olds don't have crushes? Since when? I had a crush on pretty much every baby sitter I had 4-11.

my son is 3 and legitimately has a crush on his dentist - a very pretty blonde 20 something woman. Obviously crushes mean different things to different ages. he just likes to hug her alot

@ like 5 I had a crush on Vanna White (who started onm WHEEL OF FORTUNE the year I was born!) As for babysitting, I started babysitting a kid when he was 2 & he's in high school now BUT since his mom still goes out w/ friends on the weekend @ some point I just started using the 'babysitting $' to buy us BOTH pizzas while we watch SOUTH PARK & this series until the $$ just stopped being handed over when he started calling to hang-out or walking over. Different strokes for different folks

I fell asleep during INCEPTION BUT I FEEL like I still saw it!

I think the part that Jim babysitting a little girl on a consistent basis is the more unrealistic part. I
