Not quite there
Interesting but I thought it didn't quite work. I kept wondering if a director like David Lynch or Sergio Leone could have made something with a stronger visual impact or a bit more dynamic.

shareStronger visual impact? I’d be hard pressed to think of a more visually impactful movie.
It’s an eccentric film and is exactly what it needs to be, in my opinion.
I guess it's been a year since I watched it but as I remember it just felt a bit flat to me - which was a pity given the cast, story and location.
shareCheck out this video then watch OGF again, I guarantee you’ll enjoy it more second time around…

No remember Chris Stuckmann likes woke movies remember? He can't be trusted he is a woke brainwashed critic. Oh wait he is credible when he likes the same thing you do got it. Typical boot licking behavior.
shareStuckmann is okay, I think. And I remember watching that video a few years ago. From what I recall, it's a genuinely interesting video essay on the film.
shareRemember though he is woke. I find it funny how when a woke critic disagrees with people who are right wing they immediately discredit them as just that a woke ignorant critic. Now though since he is defending a film Drooch likes suddenly he becomes a credible source. It is hypocrisy at it's finest.
shareWhat the fuck are you talking about, and why are you stalking me here, freak?
You still butthurt after I made you aware that you have zero filmmaking ability despite getting fleeced by that ‘film school’? 🤣
I just found the fact that you referenced a woke critic ironic lol. I thought you said that any woke critic or person was ignorant.
shareYou are calling Stuckmann ‘a woke critic’, not me, so where’s the ‘irony’ in me sharing a video of his?
You must have been the dumbest guy in your film class, the guy everyone rolls their eyes at every time you pipe up with more mindless drivel. I pity your classmates and hope they at least had some laughs at your expense whenever you screened one of your ‘films’ 🤣
Stuckmann is a woke critic. It has nothing to do with what I say. Check out his political views. He supports blm. I thought a guy like you would know this. Perhaps I gave you too much credit.
Interesting video - thanks. Not how I saw the film. For me it was a Shakespearean tragedy of a deeply damaged family, corrupted and rotted by the mother, coming up against an equally corrupt Godfather of a cop. The cop may have been living by a moral code of sorts but he was still basically just the top Gangster. Perhaps that's too literal an interpretation and not what the director intended but that's how I saw it.
As far as I'm concerned?
The visuals and directing were as good as could possibly be expected; it was the script that simply wasn't there.
