Didn't like the white doctor running back to the Chinese kidnappers

I assume that the Chinese government had a tracker in the box of placebos and the kidnappers got picked up. But what did the WHO doctor think she was going to accomplish going back there? Because she was white she could help them better than Chinese doctors? I assume it was supposed to show she had bonded with the children but I would have thought as a WHO doctor she was used to going around to places like that. Does any one buy that behavior? If some people think it's plausible then okay. I did enjoy the movie

Hmm, I didn't think about the Chinese government putting a tracker in with the vaccine. I just assumed she was going back to the village to warn them that they weren't going to be protected by the placebos. Would I do it? No, but maybe she was a bleeding heart type.

Exactly. However, as to the bleeding heart comment, she did get really close to the community as we observed towards the end of her 'stay'. She was teaching the children and seemed really comfortable at her new, albeit forced, surrounding. She started to care and that's what prompted her to go back and warn them that they still needed to stay in isolation.

Wasn't she doing important work? Therefore by kidnapping her, they endangered more lives. She might have had loved ones (husband-kids, etc) who were left hanging. She was away for months. Also at the end, they were armed at the drop off. What if they accidentally shot the guy with the vials? What if they never paid the ransom??? All these reasons is why I disliked that scene.

We don't know that the guns were loaded. One issue I have is how they let her go so easily after she tests the vaccine and tells them it's real. How the heck would she or they know that? As for a tracker on the vials, they probably would double check that before returning, and if so take it off.

Plain and simple: She clearly cared about them. Her stay was forced, but it's not like they were harming her. She WANTED them to get the vaccine. Her going back wasn't about her "saving them better than chinese doctors because she's white" -- she went back, again, simply because she cared about them. If you found out your loved one might be dying, you don't go run to them because you think you can cure them -- you run to them because you care about them, you want to be with them, you want to accompany them.

Presumably the children would be given the placebos and then mistakingly released into the general population. It is likely she was going back to warn her captors -- for the sake of the children's lives.

Nah, the vials contained a slow acting poison and trackers in the boxes sent drones to blow any survivors the *beep* up.

She clearly formed a bong with them and was going back to warn them to stay in the village because that wasn’t the actual vaccine.
The problem with this movie is that it needed to be at least another hour long and gave her more scenes.

Ohhh, so they were getting high together and she forgot her supply. That makes sense how she looked concerned and was running to get back to her stash. 🤣 Sorry, that typo was too good to pass up.

I thought it was pretty obvious Marion’s character was running to alert them that the vaccines were placebos and they shouldn’t go out in the general public. Have no idea why anyone’s race is important with this scene or even in this storyline, other than the fact the OP is a racist douche who only sees colors in everything to give him something extra to bitch about.

Either way, great movie! I’ve had it on Blu-ray for years, and finally busted it out during these quarantine days. It’s really well made, and well acted.
