So they stop at the first house that is a "6 generation" house built in 1850 or so according to the woman there, she then proceeds to show them a photograph she believes is from "The Civil War times", Mike says "Wow, look at the size of that flag." Then the screen image shows the photo and flag has 48 STARS!!!!
Hey lady, how does a photo from the "Civil War times" have a flag with 48 stars in it???
On July 4,1912, the U.S. flag grew to 48 stars with the addition of New Mexico (January 6th, 1912) and Arizona (February 14, 1912) Executive Order of President Taft dated June 24, 1912 - established the proportions of the flag and provided for arrangement of the stars in six horizontal rows of eight each, a single point of each star to be upward.
