I think Chris Lilley is genius! The finale to Angry Boys was incredible. Funny and heart felt! I don't get how there are so little postings about last night's finale. It was magic.

I thought the finale was excellent, funny & touching & emotional all at the same time. I wasn't sure what direction the show was going a lot of the time, but I felt like it really built up steam near the end & went out on a very high note. Am looking forward to Chris Lilley's next project, & am even downloading "Squashed Ni**er" as we speak; it's a good song, even though it's quite ironic!

I too cannot believe the lackluster activity/comments on these boards.
It finished some time ago here in Australia and it got poor ratings by the end of it's run. That's probably why there's not much activity.

I am truly surprised at that. I thought Chris Lilley was huge in Australia!
His comedy is an acquired taste even over here.

and to be fair, there are only about 1000 people on the whole continent of Australia so being huge over there is a bit like being popular in a large high school.
I'm glad they finally contributed something to the world besides Olivia Newton John and AC/DC.

zap644 - you're lack of knowledge & ignorance is amusing to me & the other 999 Aussies. lol. Olivia Newton-John was born in England but grew up in Australia. Most of ACDC were born in Scotland. If they call themselves Aussies though that's good - it's a young country with plenty of us having immigrant backgrounds. It seems you must be old as well as not very bright though because both ONJ & ACDC peaked 30+ years ago. Aussie actors succeeding in Hollywood this century:

I agree, the finale was magic! such a surprising ending. there seemed to be very little buzz about this series. I never expected the ending to be so touching and emotional. blew me away.

I hope it did well here in America bc Lilley is a genius and it would be a damn shame if we never heard from him again. I def liked this show better than Summer Heights, which is high praise considering how much people liked that show. Keep it up, Chris!

I cried at that last scene, happy tears... happy tears... hope HBO and / or chris can make another season possible.

That was a very moving ending and I'm glad they showed the party through photos, as it would be impossible to squeeze a decent party scene in those last few minutes without forsaking the touching moment of the celebrities arriving.
I don't get how this show got such a slating.
S.mouse in particular is said to lack any depth, but I believe that is completely untrue as the majority of young musicians tend to have to this unfounded sense of self accredited prestige.
Have to chime in to agree that the finale was money in the bank. When i started the series i didnt know where it was going but when you got to the part where you know daniel was sad and going to miss nath really brought it together.
Then you get to the legends party...
